Welcome to Cross CTF 2017

Cross CTF 2017 is a cyber security competition by SMU Whitehat Society & NUS Greyhats that will be held in Singapore Management University.

In the competition, student teams from various tertiary institutions will compete to solve challenges. Teams will compete in a 48 hour online qualifiers on the 13th-14th May and the qualifiying teams will compete in Singapore's first 24 hour live attack-defense CTF in the final stage on 17th-18th June.

NUS Greyhats and SMU Whitehat Society will be organising the CrossCTF villages as part of CrossCTF 2017! This is a workshop series that will be happening on 18th June, Sunday at Singapore Management University and will be completely FREE! Competition Details

This competition is open to all students from various institutes of higher learning and polytechnics in Singapore. Participants are required to form a team of three to take part in the competition. Each team must achieve a minimum qualifying score in the qualifier round to be allowed to participate in the competition.

Participants are required to bring and utilize their own laptop(s) and equipment(s) for any activity/competition.


Qualifiers Details


The qualifiers for Cross CTF will begin from 13 May 2017 until 14 May 2017, lasting 48 hours in total.

More details will be released through e-mail at a later date.


Rules of Cross CTF

During the CTF

  • Do not attack the PCs of other competitors.
  • Do not attack the scoring server.
  • Do not attack anything outside of the CTF environment.
  • Do not delete or modify flags.
  • ARP poisoning or any form of man-in-the-middle attack is prohibited. This action is subject to disqualification.
  • Sharing flags or solutions is prohibited. This action is subject to disqualification.
  • Brute-forcing flags will not be tolerated.
  • Denial of service attacks on any challenge will not be tolerated, unless the challenge calls for such an attack.
  • If you find any bug in the system, let us know. We might give you some bonus points.
  • Organizers' decision is final.
